Do You Need An Attitude Adjustment?
Your attitude has a compounding effect. There is no preference. If you have a bad attitude, you will keep going in that direction. If your attitude is positive, it will compound. Every little bit you put in compounds and gets you where you want to go faster. If you think you can’t do it, it will get worse. But if you do little things like wearing your best outfits when you’re in public, changing up your business card, etc. causes invisible movement and eventually you’ll see big results. In fact, Jeff Olson in his book The Slight Edge reminds us that, “Simple little things done consistently over time will add up to your very biggest accomplishments.”
That’s especially important where your social media marketing communications come into play. It really hit home that the little things we post on Social Buzz Club and messages we send out to our members and other social media marketing experts and influencers makes a difference.
Get Your Kids To Have a Positive Attitude
Recently when Pam’s son Hunter was in a bad mood and she was smart enough to have read Jeff Olson’s book to him in the past. So she simply asked him, “What is the compounding effect if you don’t change your attitude?” And he said, “My day will will get worse.” Then Pam asked, “Do you want that to happen?” What a brilliant way to empower her son to change his attitude.
Set Realistic Goals and You’re Golden
Pam reminded us that What you think creates your attitude, actions, results and ultimately creates your life. What you focus on is what you get.Be careful when setting goals. When you set unrealistic goals, sets you up for failure. Set a realistic goal and action plan to achieve them. Once you achieve them, then set higher goals.
Hang out with people who are where you want to be. She and her husband bought little unit in the richest suburb of Sydney.
She encouraged us to, “Make mistakes failing forward.” Set a goal and do it. If it doesn’t work the first time, go for it again. Ask someone you respect who is successful what they think you could do better. Don’t give up. By day 30 you will see results.Successful people fail their way to the top.
When you write your goals also write why you must achieve it. Include your “Success Achieved Date” as if it already happened.
Identify Your Self Sabotaging Patterns
Here’s a great question to ask yourself, “What’s stopped you before?” Pam prompted us with these ideas: Money, motivation, confidence, fear, bad experience, other’s negativity, laziness, attitude. Once you identify the underlying pattern, you must turn it around.
Acknowledge, “I know what stopped me in the past.” Then ask yourself, “What do I need to right now to support me to be successful?” Here are some options for support that Pam suggest we look at: Mentor, money, other people’s help, motivation, self-belief, action plan or better attitude. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Success is 95% mindset and 5% strategy, action, and implementation. Focus on believing and knowing you can do it. Give yourself goals you know you can achieve. Just take action. “Get runs on the ball.”
Create a Success Journal and Map Out Your Perfect Day
List your top 5 goals in the 5 key areas of your life. Health, wealth, finance, relationships, career. Read it over every night.
Goals are all over her wall in her office. Pam loves the imagery. She recommends placing pictures of what you want around you. You can also use social media marketing sites like Pinterest to post your visions and create a powerful brand presence.
Use your journal daily and include 5 things you are grateful for each day. 3 positive achievements each day. 3 positives you’re going to achieve tomorrow. Get any rants off your chest then let them go. Score your day out of 10.
The Power of Color, Branding and Social Media Marketing Strategies
Invest in yourself to get you where you want to go in this lifetime.
Tips to being unique…get your colors done. Colors have an energy and science about it. Wear red underwear… Red increases vitality and energy and stimulates the adrenal glands. Excites the body.
Orange opens up emotions and is great for communication. Violet supports the nervous system and is used to increase and promote high ideals.
Remember to use your best photos on social media sites. Enhancing your brand image is one of those small steps that can improve your social media marketing results.
Stand Out and Be Your Brand
Put your photo on your business. Make sure you have a call to action on the back – that’s biggest real estate and gives your contacts reason to come visit your site.
Make a variety of cards with your photo on it – let them choose what they like best. They’ll remember the selection process.
